i-League Transfers: Sporting Goa sign Ex-Malaga CF forward Juanfri

Sporting Clube de Goa has signed ex-Málaga forward Juan Francisco Garcia Pena (commonly known as Juanfri). The 23 year old Spanish forward was in a part of Malaga reserve squad Atlético Malagueño and made his senior team debut in Copa del Rey tie against Getafe CF on 7th January 2010. Juanfri has played for several Spanish clubs in the lower division of Spanish football which include: Unión Estepona CF, Écija Balompié, UD Fuengirola. This signing comes as Sporting clube de Goa's second Spanish signing under their Spanish coach Oscar Bruzon after signing of Angel Berlanga earlier this week. In July 2012, Juanfri was reported to be travelling with English League One side MK Dons (Milton Keynes Dons FC) in their tour to Ireland but the move did not become permanent as language barrier was learnt to be the issue.
