East Bengal face Selangor FA at home

Kingfisher East Bengal face visiting Malaysian Super League side Selangor FA on Wednesday 27th February, 2013 at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan Stadium, Kolkata as they kick off their AFC Cup 2013 Campaign. East Bengal will be hoping that they bring some smile back to the Indian football supporters after the disappointing start by the other i-League team Churchill Brothers as they went down 0-3 in the hands of Kitchee SC in a away fixture. East Bengal would look to open their account this time around which they failed to do so last time when they lost all their matches.
East Bengal will be banking their hopes on Chidi Edeh, their saviour in front of goal with 14 goals in his kitty, and the midfield duo of Mehtab Hussain and Penn Orji. Uga Okpara will lead the defense but his defensive partner, the reliable, Arnab Mondal will be missed severely because of his injury which he picked up during the National team preparatory camp for the upcoming AFC Challenge Cup 2014 (qualifiers).
